1. Time to become emotional detectives!! We are going to try to find connections between your emotions and how you take care of your body.
In your SEL journal, or on a piece of paper, make a chart. On the top, leave a space to write how many hours you slept the night before.
2. Make columns for time, before mood, food, water, breathing practice, and after mood.
For one day, record each time you eat, drink water, or do your practice breathing. Write what emotions you feel before the activity and after. Keep your journal handy so you remember to record all day long! Here is an example.
3. Share your journal with your family. See if anyone can help you find patterns of when you leave the green zone and what helps you come back to it!
